Retrofit Project Management

We will support you throughout your retrofit installation to the satisfactory completion of the works and the transformation of your home.

Your appointed Retrofit Coordinator will schedule face-to-face meetings with you (either in person or online) as well as check on the project’s progress via phone calls at key stages throughout the works. The number of meetings and phone calls will depend on the complexity and length of your project.

Your Retrofit Coordinator shall provide impartial technical advice on the suitability of the contractor’s specific design and specification for the installation of measures. They will consider suitability in meeting your objectives within each of the measures to be installed.

Through dispute resolution, your Retrofit Coordinator will provide support should any issues arise with works that cannot be settled directly between you and your contractor.

If the scope and complexity of your retrofit project necessitates high risk, then we would highly recommend our project management services.

Quality Assurance

An important element of the EcoCosi offering is our Quality Assurance (QA) process. QA ensures that your retrofit work will be inspected whilst it is undergoing installation and is checked on completion by an independent reviewer with expert knowledge of the measures installed.

This process safeguards that all works are completed to the contractor’s specification.

The number of QA visits will be measure dependent but will at a minimum involve a final sign-off and check at the end of the commissioning stage. This will ensure that any measure has been installed and commissioned correctly so that you, the client, have all the information and knowledge necessary to operate equipment or keep track of maintenance requirements.

Below is a list of measures that our contractors install and that we have supporting QA processes for. If your retrofit is part of a larger renovation project, for example an extension or room-in-roof conversion, then we can work with your builder to have our installers do this part of the project. Or we can work with your builder to inspect these elements, but we would not provide a QA service for the main building process.
