Electricity prepayment meter screens can show you a lot of information. This page will help you to understand what’s on each screen.
Your electricity prepayment meter should have a display screen. Pressing the blue button on the meter will change the information on the screen.
What the electricity prepayment meter screens show
The table below explains what the different screens on your electricity prepayment meter show.
You’ll see R1 (daytime) and R2 (night time) rates mentioned in the table. Most customers will only have a single unit rate (R1). However, customers on tariffs such as Economy 7 will have both an R1 and R2 rate. There are also other metering configurations with multiple rates and these can be shown differently on some meters.
