Changeworks’ Experts by Experience panel is a group of people who use their lived experience to help inform our research, improve our content, services, advice and campaigns.
What is the Experts by Experience panel?
Changeworks’ Experts by Experience panel is a group of people who use their lived experience to help inform our research and improve our content, services, advice and campaigns. By signing up below, you will be offered the chance to participate in a range of research projects.
Participants can sign up to take part in a specific project that we are recruiting for, or to hear about future projects. It is free to sign-up, and you can withdraw at any time.
In most cases, participants can take part online or over the phone. We will normally ask for an hour or less of your time per project. To recognise your contribution, you will be offered vouchers and prize draws for some projects.
Who can sign up?
Panellists must be over 18 years of age and based in Scotland. We are interested in gathering the perspectives of members of the public who are:
- Home owners
- Private renters
- Local authority renters
- Housing Association renters
The topics of our research projects vary, but will always be linked to the decarbonisation of Scottish homes and/or fuel poverty. We welcome volunteers for the panel that have lived experience of these two areas.
For example, we are looking for households adapting to a new heating system, planning their own retrofit or have experience of fuel poverty and difficulty in affording their energy bills.
What’s in it for you?
By joining our Experts by Experience panel, you can:
- Shape policy – your insights can directly influence policy decisions aimed at creating sustainable, affordable and energy-efficient homes for all.
- Be heard – participate in surveys, focus groups and interviews to share your unique experiences and ideas on how to effectively address fuel poverty and transition to a net zero society.
- Access exclusive benefits – members of the panel receive first-hand access to findings, expert insights and opportunities to participate in innovative projects. Some opportunities through the panel will have prize draws or vouchers for participation.
