Scotland’s retrofit opportunities discussed at Changeworks Connects Conference

We were delighted to welcome key players from national policy, local government, social housing providers, delivery agents and supply chains to the Changeworks Connects Conference in Edinburgh.

Taking place at Dynamic Earth, the day focussed on what needs to happen to unlock the barriers to scale domestic retrofit in Scotland.  A series of case studies and panel discussions from leading voices on home decarbonisation across sectors focused on enabling and innovating the Scottish retrofit community.

Andrew Kerr, from Climate-KIC, delivered the keynote speech on retrofit from an EU-wide perspective, before cross sector discussion looking at how we can enable mass retrofit, the role of retrofit agencies and innovation within the sector took centre stage.

Josiah Lockhart, Changeworks’ Chief Executive, commented: “The conference reminded us of the complexity of the challenge, but also that by working together, we can make a real impact to accelerate Scotland’s journey towards decarbonisation.

“The conference enabled great conversations between representatives from the supply chain, technology sector, social housing and government about how we can collectively innovate.

“By bringing different sectors together we can drive forward the change we need. Whether through national policy, retrofit agencies, empowering communities or innovation in low-carbon technologies, collaboration is key.”

Changeworks would like to thank headline sponsor, IndiNature, and premium sponsors Vaillant, Union Technical, Proctor Group and Snugg, for supporting the conference.
